How can I donate?
When you click either "Donate" button on the Donation page, you will be taken to a secure site hosted by Paypal. You will be given the option of paying from your Paypal account, or by credit card.

Do I need a PayPal account in order to donate?
Not if you pay with credit card (Or a debit card from one of the Major credit card suppliers). PayPal just handles the transaction.

Is donating online safe?

Who are you?
This site has been set-up by Derek’s friend, Shelagh Corbett, and brother, Geoff Taylor. We live in Ottawa, Canada and have been deeply involved in Derek’s recovery, care, and medical advocacy since the time of his surgery in June, 2011. Geoff recently graduated from the Media program at Algonquin College and lives with his partner Nicole. Together they have survived their own terrible collision with a brain tumour after Nicole was diagnosed with brain cancer one year after Derek's surgery and had to undergo her own operation, chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Happily, she's doing great today. Shelagh is a graphic designer/creative director and has a dog named Stella who teaches her many things.

What will my donation fund?
100% of your donation will go towards Derek’s care. Once we have reached a level of income that guarantees we will be able to stay in his own home, anything extra goes directly to his living and care expenses, rehabilitation therapy, or to purchase equipment that will make life a little easier and/or help him work towards his recovery goals.
